INDIANAPOLIS - A woman had to be rescued after her SUV got stuck in high water on Indianapolis' northwest side Friday morning.

Water could be seen rushing around the woman's SUV near 59th Street and Moller Road.

The road the woman was driving on usually connects two apartment complexes, but it often floods during heavy rain.

Two firefighters went into the fast water with ropes and helped guide the woman to safety.

"Fast water rescues are a deceiving type of issue. Even though you look out here and you see the car and it's not even halfway submerged in two to three feet of water, you still have to set up as if it were 10 feet of water," said Robert Saunders with the Pike Township Fire Department.

The woman was not injured.
