Steven Bill Pollard, 36, was preliminarily charged with one count of child molestation, the Herald Times reported.

The girl told police she was lying on the living room floor of a friend's home Saturday morning when she felt someone touch her buttocks.

When she rolled over, she said Pollard, who was on the couch next to her, put his hand between her legs.

The girl told her mother about the incident and the woman called police Saturday afternoon.

Pollard was questioned by police and arrested. He was being held at the Monroe County Jail on Monday.
