A man was arrested early Sunday morning in a shooting that resulted from an argument another man was having with his girlfriend, police said.

Donald Cantrell, 32, was brought to Community Hospital East by his girlfriend at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Indianapolis police Lt. Jeff Duhamell said.

According to officers, the dispute was ongoing at a home in the 1900 block of North Audubon Road when another person at the home -- Frederick Allen, 45 -- shot the victim in the chest.

Allen was arrested on a murder charge after questioning on Sunday morning.
