Jeffrey Bringle Faces Charges After IUPUI Incident

A man was arrested Friday on the campus of Indiana University Purdue University-Indianapolis after he struck a car and then fled, police said.Jeffrey Bringle, 62, of Columbus, damaged another vehicle when he struck it with his car on University Boulevard, police said."When Mr. Bringle was stopped by police and asked for identification, he produced a handmade identification card," said IUPUI police Officer David Briggs.Police said Bringle also did not have a driver's license."He told police that he didn't have to follow this government's laws," Briggs said.Bringle was arrested on charges of driving while suspended and failure to stop after an accident that resulted in property damage.
