Mayor Extends IFD's Burn Ban
Ban Covers Pike, Wayne, Decatur Townships

Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard has issued an executive order extending the Indianapolis Fire Department's burn ban to include Pike, Wayne and Decatur townships.The three townships were excluded from IFD's earlier burn ban, because they are not in the area for which IFD is responsible.IFD's ban also excludes Beech Grove, Speedway and Lawrence.The City of Lawrence issued its own burn ban Wednesday evening.
