Firefighters were called out to General Shale Brick on State Road 67 across from Poe's Cafeteria. The building is a local manufacturing site for the company, which is headquartered in Tennessee.

Several fire companies were called to the scene to assist Morgan County officials to douse the flames.

Officials said an investigation into what sparked the blaze was ongoing.
