WellPoint, Inc. announced on Wednesday that 112 workers will be laid off between July 20 and Sept. 28 after the loss of a government contract.Officials said claims processors, appeals representatives, refund investigators and enrollment representatives were among the positions included in the layoff.WellPoint processes Medicare and Medicaid insurance claims.
