An 80-year-old woman was found dead in a pond near her northwestern Indiana home after she was reported missing by family members.State conservation officers said a police helicopter crew spotted Ethel Bottom's body floating in the water near Valparaiso a couple hours into the search on Monday.Bottom was pronounced dead at the scene.Family members told investigators that Bottoms had dementia and was last seen going to bed Sunday night.
