A Nashville couple has been arrested after police said they left their 4-month-old infant unattended in a truck while they shopped.

Columbus police were called to the West Hill Shopping Center on the city's west side Monday evening on a report of an infant alone in a truck.

Dustin Baker, 25 and Cierra Baker, 23, were each arrested on a preliminary charge of neglect of a dependent.

The couple told police they grocery shopping at the time.

The infant was not injured.
