Human remains were discovered at a west side apartment complex Wednesday night, police said.About 8 p.m., Indianapolis Metro Police Department officers said remains were discovered in an apartment at 3446 Sherburne Circle, near 38th Street and Interstate 65.Detectives said the apartment manager noticed a foul smell coming from an empty unit.IMPD spokesman Kendale Adams said the apartment where the remains were found is the scene of a previous arson and the death investigation was ongoing.We will have to wait for the Marion County Coroners Office to determine the race and sex of the deceased (person), Adams said.An autopsy was scheduled for Thursday.
