A southern Indiana woman suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol was arrested Sunday after she drove her car onto a railroad track, causing train delays for several hours in Floyd County, officials said.

Police said April Hill, 22, of Greenville, was intoxicated when she drove her car onto the train tracks until it became stuck near the 4600 block of Corydon Pike.

Indiana State Police said Hill was bleeding, covered in mud and barefoot when they found her crawling over an embankment near the railroad tunnel.

Hill was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and disturbing a train bed, which is a felony.

She was taken into custody at the Floyd County Jail.
