Police: Man Found Dead Underneath Car

Victim's Name Not Released

Indianapolis metro police investigated a death on the city's southwest side on Saturday night.

At about 9 p.m., police were called out to the 2300 block of Kentucky Avenue where they found a 43-year-old man dead underneath a car.

The wife of the victim told investigators he worked on cars in the building on Kentucky Avenue and typically worked alone on Saturdays, police said.

When the woman had not heard from her husband for an extended period of time, she went to the building and found him underneath the car, Catherine Cummings with IMPD said.

Detectives believed the death was an accident, but an official cause was pending more investigation.
