A man who busted through the front doors of an Evansville McDonald's couldn't steal any cash, but he did get away with a filling breakfast, police said.

Christopher A. McGlauflin, 39, broke into the restaurant at 2010 Old Business 41 just before 2:30 a.m. Monday, police said.

Once inside, he tried to get into the cash registers, but he couldn't pry open the drawers, police said.

Instead, McGlauflin grabbed several fruit and yogurt parfaits and ran from the restaurant, police said.

McGlauflin was arrested hours later after he walked back in front of the store still covered in glass from the break-in, police said.

McGlauflin was preliminarily charged with three counts of burglary, criminal mischief and theft of merchandise totaling less than $50.
