A city-county councilor who has previous brushes with the law is facing another allegation of drunken and disorderly conduct.

A woman called police Saturday claiming that Doris Minton-McNeil was attempting to hit someone with her Chevrolet Trailblazer.

"She's likely to hit this girl's baby," the woman told a 911 dispatcher. "I think she's drunk."

When officers arrived, McNeil was home and smelled of alcohol, police said, but denied that she had been drinking and driving.

Police noticed damage to McNeil's SUV, but she told officers that she hadn't been in a crash. Charges have not been filed against Minton-McNeil.

Last year, she was charged with four counts, including felony battery and resisting law enforcement, but she was acquitted in that case last month.
