Indiana State Police renewed a call for help Thursday to solve the case of a woman who was killed nine years ago.

The skeletal remains of Nancy Lyons, 46, were found in October 2002, in a field along county roads 1000 East and 200 South in Bartholomew County.

Lyons' car, a 1993 Nissan, had been found in June 2002 at the corner of county road 700 West and 500 North in Rush County.

"Rush County authorities discovered that the vehicle was running, unoccupied, trunk open, and the vehicle had a flat left rear tire," ISP Sgt. Rod Russell said.

Investigators have been trying to solve the case for nine years, and family members have long been waiting for closure.

Lyons was last seen in a Walmart surveillance video.

Police asked anyone with information to call 800-527-4752.
