An Indianapolis Public Schools vice principal charged with child seduction is accused of having sex with a 16-year-old student in his school office.

Corey Greenwood, 41, a vice principal and athletic director at George Washington High School, pleaded not guilty to five counts of child seduction and one count of dissemination of matter harmful to minors in court Wednesday.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the girl told police that she and Greenwood had sex five times between March 24 and April 9, RTV6's Derrik Thomas reported.

The girl said Greenwood took her to the apartment of a teacher who was out of town.

In another instance, Greenwood and the girl had sex on the desk in his school office, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Greenwood and the girl also often texted, and he sent her pictures of his genitals, police said.

One of the girl's friends originally contacted police about the relationship.

"Whether it is on school grounds or a field trip or a time when a teacher or coach takes a student somewhere for purposes of an athletic competition, I wish I could say it is uncommon, but the reality is it simply isn't," said Deputy Prosecutor Kristina Korobov.

Greenwood was placed on home detention and GPS monitoring while he awaits trial.

He was suspended with pay by IPS, pending the outcome of the investigation.

"The trust built between students and staff is sacred. (Indianapolis Public Schools) is saddened that Mr. Greenwood breached this trust," district spokeswoman Mary Louise Bewley said earlier this month. "We will continue to cooperate fully with IMPD as this case moves forward."

Greenwood is the son of IPS Director of Secondary Education Jackie Greenwood.
