Police: Woman Confesses To Double Homicide

Detectives: Tammy Spengler Charged With Murder

A southern Indiana woman confessed to fatally shooting her boyfriend's father and uncle, whose bodies were found in an outbuilding near Salem, authorities said.

Indiana State Police said the victims have tentatively been identified as Timothy M. Orman, 54, and Roy L. Orman, 48, both of Salem.

Washington Circuit Court officials said Tammy Spengler, 23, of Palmyra, called sheriff's officers to confess to the shootings late Friday.

Timothy M. Orman was the father of Spengler's boyfriend, Timothy R. Orman, 25, who also faces murder charges with Spengler.

Orman was already being held at the Floyd County Jail on unrelated charges. Spengler was being held Friday at the Washington County Jail.
