A woman was sexually assaulted in a violent home-invasion robbery on Indianapolis' northwest side early Thursday, police said. The woman told police she was alone in her home in the Crooked Creek Villages subdivision near 62nd Street and Michigan Road when a man knocked on her door just before 7 a.m.She said she thought the man needed help so she opened the door. That's when three men in their 20s, at least one carrying a gun, forced their way inside the home, she said. The woman was sexually assaulted before the men took off with her ATM card, electronics and her car, an orange Saturn VUE, police said.Someone attempted to use the ATM card at a nearby bank a short time later, police said.Investigators found the woman's car in a carport at an apartment complex at 56th Street and Georgetown Road, not far from the bank.A man seen near the car was taken into custody for questioning. Three other people were also be questioned Thursday evening in connection with the crime.Neighbors had a message for the attackers."We're watching you as much as the police, and we're not afraid to let them know, hey, you know what, we won't back down," said Eliot Forrest. "This is our community and we want it safe."The woman was taken to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment.Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
