Republican Donald Trump continued to cause consternation to his critics this week with a post on Facebook apparently celebrating Cinco de Mayo.
The New York billionaire – who has made building a wall between Mexico and the U.S. a center point of his presidential campaign – posted a picture of himself Thursday eating a taco bowl at Trump Tower. In the photo's caption, Trump proclaims, "I love Hispanics!"

Cinco de Mayo is celebrated annually on May 5 to commemorate the Mexican Army's victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla.
In the U.S., it's often treated as a de facto celebration of Mexican history and culture.
Within two hours of his post, Trump's picture had received 295,000 reactions and more than 200,000 comments – many critical of his perceived insensitivity to Hispanics.
