RTV6 Director of Audience Development Paul Montgomery, a huge movie buff, shares his Oscars picks:

BEST PICTURE: "Argo"

BEST ACTOR: Daniel Day Lewis, "Lincoln" – The only sure lock

BEST ACTRESS: Jennifer Lawrence, "Silver Linings Playbook" – She acts in this AND is in two big franchise movies: "Hunger Games" and "X-Men." She can do anything!

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR: Robert DeNiro, "Silver Linings Playbook" -- He’s been so touched by this role and emotional in interviews. This one will mean so much to him and everyone.

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Anne Hathaway, "Les Miserables" – Another lock; plus she survived co-hosting the Oscars a couple years ago!

BEST DIRECTOR: Ang Lee, "Life of Pi" – This should be Ben Affleck ("Argo"), but the Academy will recognize Lee’s amazing feat here

BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY: "Zero Dark Thirty"

BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAY: "Silver Linings Playbook"

BEST ANIMATED FEATURE: "Brave" – It’s not Pixar’s best, but "Wreck-It Ralph" could pull an upset.

BEST FOREIGN FEATURE: "Amour" – This is where it belongs and deserves to win.

BEST VISUAL EFFECTS: "Life of Pi" – That amazing look, in 3D, too!

BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY: "Skyfall" – Roger Deakins

I have included my picture with Katie Couric …reminding everyone that her Oscar Special airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. on ABC and RTV6!
