Shannon Samson, Skycam 6 reporter for "Good Morning Indiana" shares her Oscars picks:
Best Picture: "Silver Linings Playbook." I LOVED this movie. Some say I am crushing on it too hard, but I disagree. This movie has everything -- great performances, a great story and a really climactic dance scene. Scores of "Dancing with the Stars" fans would agree, it’s just good stuff.
Best Actor: DDL for "Lincoln." I would be bitter if I were anyone else nominated in this category. The movie a li’l boring in places, but DDL delivers. Again.
Best Actress: I hope Naomi Watts wins, but I have a feeling it’s going to be Jessica Chastain. The woman can emote.
Supporting Actor: DeNiro for "Silver Linings." He’s just so entertaining and makes it all look so effortless.
Supporting Actress: Everyone knows Sally Field already has an Oscar and everyone really, really likes her, so it would be nice if Jacki Weaver won, eh? I mean, it would be great to see an older woman get her props, but Anne Hathaway will take the statue home and put it with all the others for her performance in "Les Mis." When there is nothing more compelling to look at than a close-up of your face for like 10 solid minutes, that’s really saying something.
Best Director: Write-in nomination for Ben Affleck. "Argo" was just really suspenseful and entertaining.
I would also like to give a shout-out to Adele, who will win for her song "Skyfall." Why? Because everything she does merits an award, but her acceptance speeches are so much more exciting than Taylor Swift’s. I have fantasies about Adele and I being friends in real life.
