The parents of Lauren Spierer have issued a New Year's plea for information, nearly seven months after their daughter was last seen.
"Words cannot express the sadness which fills our hearts in Lauren's absence. As the New Year approaches, we pray for answers and for Lauren's safe return. Just one small miracle," Rob, Charlene and Rebecca Spierer posted on the family's website
The family returned home to their native New York for their first Hanukkah without their daughter.
The 20-year-old Indiana University student was last seen walking in Bloomington in the early morning hours of June 3 after a night of partying with friends.
The Spierers pleaded for the person responsible to come forward in 2012.
"We hope that YOU, the person who took Lauren, will finally have the courage to end this nightmare for our family," they wrote. "We are here, waiting, for your answers."
The family said last month that private investigator Bo Dietl had found new details related to their daughter's case, but they declined to elaborate.
