VERSAILLES, Ind. -- Three people, including a child, are dead after a crash with a semi-truck Tuesday morning in southeast Indiana.
A man, woman and young child were in a car that collided with the truck on U.S. 50 just west of Versailles at County Road 300W around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Troopers say the car was heading south on CR 300W and didn't stop at U.S. 50, driving into the path of the semitractor-trailer.
Indiana State Police say the truck driver was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover. U.S. 50 was shut down in both directions until just before 10 a.m.
