The Marion County judge overseeing the Indiana State Fair stage collapse investigation has ordered Sugarland singer Kristian Bush to be deposed along with bandmate Jennifer Nettles.

Special Section: Indiana State Fair Stage Collapse

Mid-America Sound Corp., the company that built the rigging, had asked a Marion Superior Court judge to order Sugarland and its ownership company, Lucky Star Inc., to give depositions next week, before Nettles and Kristian Bush begin a five-month tour in April.

Last week, Sugarland’s lawyers were told only Nettles would undergo deposition because she’s the president of Lucky Star.

Nettles and Bush will be questioned about whether the band refused to cancel or delay the concert last August.

When State Fair Executive Director Cindy Hoye was deposed last year, she said that Sugarland twice declined to cancel or delay the concert.

Seven people were killed and 58 others were injured when the stage collapsed minutes before Sugarland’s concert was scheduled to begin.
