Franklin Township Schools has placed a longtime middle school teacher on administrative leave.
In a note posted on the district's website, Superintendent Flora Reichanadter said Bob Roach, who teaches at Middle School East, had been placed on leave pending a police investigation into his alleged behavior.
Police said Roach was taken into custody by police at the request of authorities in Wisconsin.
Officials said Roach faces child solicitation charges in Wisconsin, where authorities believe he may have attempted an online relationship with a 15-year-old.
"There is no evidence or information that there was involvement with students of the Franklin Township Community School Corporation," the Franklin Township note read.
No other details were released.
Reichanadter said the district is cooperating fully with Indianapolis police.
