A 17-year-old boy was killed when he was thrown from an ATV in Sullivan County, conservation officers said.John R. Chesterfield, of Lewis, was found unconscious along County Road 1200 North on Sunday afternoon by a passing motorist.Police said they believe he was thrown from his ATV. No other vehicles were believed to be involved.Chesterfield was airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with severe head injuries. He was later pronounced dead.Conservation officers said Chesterfield was not wearing a helmet at the time.
