2 FBI special agents killed in training accident off coast of Virginia Beach Friday

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Two FBI special agents were killed in a training accident off the coast of Virginia Beach Friday.

The Quantico-based agents were with the FBI's Hostage Rescue Team, according to WJLA.

The accident happened on Friday afternoon during a training exercise involving at least one military helicopter, according to WAVY-TV in Virginia Beach.

The identity of the agents and details of the accident have not been released. The director of the FBI, Robert Mueller, is expected to release more information Sunday afternoon, WJLA reported.
