Colorado woman uses Facebook to try to find brother she says was taken by child protective services

DENVER - A Colorado native is hoping a Facebook post will help her reunite with her little brother, who was removed from their home by Child Protective Services.

"I have a little brother named Isaiah Luke who has been missing from my life for the past 12 1/2 years," Julia Mauer wrote.

Julia posted a picture of herself holding a sign with information about her brother on Wednesday.  It was shared more than 1,000 times in 24 hours.

Julia says Isaiah Luke was born in Dec. 1994 at Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton.

"He was placed into temporary foster homes in Greeley… and eventually adopted by a wonderful same-sex couple here in Colorado," Julia wrote.

Isaiah has bright blue eyes and sandy blonde hair.

Julia is asking people to share her post on Facebook so she could track her brother down. She believes her 18-year-old brother could still be in Colorado.
