INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana University Health said Tuesday that at least 100 more employees will be laid off than what it previously forecasted back when it announced layoffs in September.
IU Health said on Sept. 12, it had to reduce its workforce by roughly 800 positions at the following locations:
- IU Health Methodist Hospital
- IU Health University Hospital
- Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health
- IU Health North Hospital
- IU Health Saxony Hospital
- IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital
Officials said Tuesday that, after reviewing the business in more detail and examining the change in patient care needs and delivery, the company estimates it will have to let go more than 900 employees. Those directly impacted are being notified this week.
A filing with the State said 935 jobs would be lost.
