Colts' CB Hayden Out For Game Against Ravens

POSTED: 9:01 pm EDT October 8, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Indianapolis Colts will be without starting cornerback Kelvin Hayden for Sunday's home game against the Baltimore Ravens due to a knee injury, head coach Tony Dungy announced Wednesday.

Hayden, who injured the knee in last Sunday's 31-27 comeback win over the Houston Texans, has started the Colts' last 20 regular season games.

Cornerback Marlin Jackson, who has also started the last 20 regular season games for Indy, suffered an ankle injury in the same game. Dungy told the Colts' website Jackson's status for Sunday's game is in question.

Also sustaining injuries in last week's game were defensive end Dwight Freeney, who strained a hamstring, and wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez, who sustained a concussion. Dungy indicated both players' status for Sunday are unknown.

Third-year player Tim Jennings is likely to start in place of Hayden, according to Dungy. The Colts also re-signed cornerback Keiwan Ratliff and signed cornerback Nick Graham earlier this week.
