30-Minute Campaign Ads Set To Debut

INDIANAPOLIS -- The 2008 version of Gov. Mitch Daniels' reality TV series is about to go on the air."Mitch TV" is a series of 30-minute infomercial-like productions shot with a handheld camera.They show the governor in everything from campaign scenes to private moments with his family.
The debut episode, which will air on commercial TV stations with campaign-purchased time, shows election night scenes from 2004."I wish you could've been just any old day lately out on the road with us," Daniels said. "The passion … the excitement, people just so excited about it -- especially the young people."Campaign aides said the purpose of the shows is to give voters an unscripted, unrehearsed view behind the scenes at the "real Mitch Daniels."Daniels faces challenger Jill Long Thompson in November.
