Contest Rules

You must agree to the rules in order to enter the EXTREME AIR from RTV 6 and DIAL ONE HOUR contest.

No Purchase Necessary: No purchase or payment is necessary to enter. Purchase will not improve the chances of winning. All federal, state and/or local rules and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law.
Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years old to enter and a resident of Indiana. Entrants must have a total family income below $31,000.00 a year (a copy of entrants most recent tax return or proof of income will be required) and/or have air conditioning equipment that is 10 years old or older and needs repair. Employees and their family members of RTV 6-TV, The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc.("The McGraw-Hill Companies"), Internet Broadcasting, Inc. ("IB") and Dial One Hour are not eligible (collectively, the Sponsors").
Two ways to enter: To enter go to www.TheIndyChannel.com and look for the "EXTREME AIR from RTV 6 and DIAL ONE HOUR" link. Complete your entry by including your name, the person you are nominating, either yourself or some other qualified person (you must have permission from the entrant to enter someone other than yourself in the Contest) your day and night time phone numbers, your complete address, and in 100 words or less, a description of why the person you are nominating needs and is deserving of winning a new home furnace. All email entries must be received by 6:00 PM ET, March 31, 2009. Or you can send your entry by regular mail which must include the same information requested above for the e-mail entry. The regular mail entries should be sent to "EXTREME AIR from RTV 6 and DIAL ONE HOUR," 1330 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202. Regular mail entries must be postmarked by March 30, 2009 and received by March 31, 2009. Sponsors are not responsible for late, misdirected or illegible entries. Limit one entry per person.
Prize (s): Three winners will be selected over the months. Each winner will receive a brand new furnace for his or her home (no commercial heaters) not to exceed $ 2,500.00 in retail value. Dial One Hour will provide and install an air conditioning unit that is appropriate to the size of the home. Air conditioner unit upgrades are only permitted for quality purposes, subject to the disclosed limitations. In the event that electrical units or if the air conditioning distribution system in the home does not support the provided air conditioning unit, Dial One will provide the winner with an appropriate, like valued air conditioning product. Any costs involved incurred beyond the air conditioner unit and its direct installation are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Price Conditions: Prizes are supplied by DIAL ONE HOUR. Prizes are not redeemable for cash or substitutable for any other item by winner. Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a comparable prize of like or greater value for any prize, for any reason at any time. Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes and fees, plus any other incidentals. Winners will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release form prior final award and receipt of a prize acknowledging that The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. has the right to publicize his/her name and likeness, the fact that he/she has won the a prize and all matters incidental thereto without the payment of any compensation for a period of one (1) year. Non-compliance will result in disqualification and forfeit of prize.
How to Win: A qualified committee of the sponsors will judge and select three (3) potential winners for each prize to be awarded, which initial selection will be based on the submitted description of the entered person's needs and why that person is deserving of winning a new furnace. RTV 6 and Dial One Hour will then meet with the potential winners to determine the winner that is most deserving of winning the new furnace. Winners will be notified by phone. Winner must provide RTV 6 with appropriate identification (Indiana Driver's License or ID.) RTV 6 and Dial One Hour will coordinate with each winner to schedule installation of the furnace and filming of the installation, which shall be used for advertising, marketing and public relations purposes, including for television commercials that will be broadcast on RTV 6.
Winner's List: For a winner's list, send a self addressed, stamped envelope to "Winners List" EXTREME AIR from RTV 6 and DIAL ONE HOUR, 1330 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202. Or watch RTV 6 from September 2008 through March 2009 to view television spots.
Contest Conditions: The contestants and winners release the owners and employees of RTV 6, The McGraw-Hill Companies, IB, Dial One Hour, their respective affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies and all others associated with the development and execution of this contest, including their respective employees, agents and representatives from and against any and all liability with respect to or in any way arising from the contest and the awarding and use of the prizes, including liability for personal injury and/or property damage.
Disqualification: In the event that a winner fails to claim his or her prize within or fails to meet the eligibility requirements of the contest, the unawarded prize will be awarded to an alternate winner selected by the committee from the remaining entries. : All prizes will be awarded, subject to the submission of a sufficient number of qualified entries to award the prizes.
Miscellaneous: All entries become the sole property of The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. and none will be returned.
Privacy: RTV 6 on occasion shares information collected about contestants included on the entry forms with other units within the family of The McGraw-Hill Companies whose products or service we feel may be of interest to you. Disputes: By entering, each entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of the judges. Any dispute regarding the sweepstakes or these rules will be resolved by a panel of judges from The McGraw-Hills Companies, Inc. and their decision shall be final.
