Indiana took a 7-0 lead late in the first quarter on a 39-yard completion from Lewis to Hardy.

Lewis put the Hoosiers up 14-0 early in the second quarter, hitting Ray Fisher on a four-yard scoring strike.

Midway through the period, in a bizarre play, Lewis recovered a fumble following a nine-yard completion to Josiah Sears and he ran 71-yards into the end zone to give Indiana a 21-0 advantage.

As time expired in the first half, Iowa finally found its way onto the scoreboard with a 33-yard touchdown pass from Christensen to Trey Stross.

Christensen completed a 10-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Myers midway through the third quarter. The extra point by Austin Signor failed and Indiana led, 21-13.

Late in the frame, Indiana increased its lead to 28-13 on a one-yard plunge by Sears.

Early in the fourth quarter, the Hoosiers added a 46-yard field goal by Austin Starr that gave them a 31-13 advantage.

Iowa cut into the Indiana lead minutes later on a 18-yard touchdown strike from Christensen to Derrell Johnson-Koulianos to make it 31-20

Late in the frame, the Hoosiers sealed the Hawkeyes fate with a seven-yard touchdown scamper by Sears for what was the game's final score, 38-20.

Indiana registered nine sacks in the contest, its most since posting the same amount against Northwestern during the 1992 season.
