INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis will make another bid to host a Super Bowl, the Indianapolis Convention and Visitors Association said Friday. The ICVA said the NFL has given it the specifications to bid for the 2012 Super Bowl. The association said it is reviewing the requirements with the Indiana Sports Corp. and people working with Mayor-elect Greg Ballard. The city came just short of securing the 2011 Super Bowl in May, when NFL team owners narrowly voted to give that game to the Dallas area.
The NFL is expected to name the site of the 2012 Super Bowl next year.
