INDIANAPOLIS -- Two-time Indianapolis 500 winner and "Dancing With The Stars" champion Helio Castroneves is joining 6News this May as driver expert and guest commentator in the buildup to this year's Indianapolis 500.The fan favorite will be featured on all coverage from the track with 6News sports director Dave Furst, according to Don Lundy, vice president and general manager of RTV6.Castroneves will provide driver analysis during all 6News reports, live from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He will also offer his unique insight to this season's "Dancing With The Stars."
Successful in the world of motor sports, Castroneves also won the fifth season of "Dancing With The Stars," which airs on ABC and RTV6.Castroneves' appearances generated the higher ratings in Indianapolis than for any other television market in the country. Castroneves credits his fans in Indianapolis for securing his win.Trackside 6 coverage begins Sunday, May 4. The broadcast of the 92nd running of the Indianapolis 500 airs Sunday, May 25, at 7 p.m. on RTV6.
