Lucas Oil Tours To Be Offered 2 Days A Week

INDIANAPOLIS -- The free tickets to see the inside of the new Lucas Oil Stadium were gone within hours, but the city said Wednesday more tour tickets will be offered, for a price.Beginning Oct. 1, there will be three ticketed tours offered two days a week, Capital Improvement Board officials said.

The one-hour tours will take place every Tuesday and Wednesday at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., CIB officials said. The cost for the tour will be $7 for adults, $5 for seniors 65 and older and children four to 12 years old. Children three and under will be admitted for free with a paying adult.Tickets will be available for purchase at the Colts Pro Shop on the day of the tour.The guided tours will include visits to the playing field, one of the locker rooms, the press box, a suite and other areas not usually accessible to the pubic, CIB officials said.Four, self-guided tours will take place Saturday, after the official ribbon cutting at the new stadium. The tickets to those tours were free, but each tour sold out very quickly.More information on the tours can be found on the Lucas Oil Stadium Web site or by calling the stadium's guest services office at 262-8600.
