NFL Player, Former Purdue Standout Arrested At Indy Bar
Anthony Spencer Faces Public Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct Charges

INDIANAPOLIS -- A former Purdue University football standout who now plays in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys was arrested at an Indianapolis bar early Sunday morning.Indianapolis police said Anthony Spencer, 24, and a friend were thrown out of the Have A Nice Day Café, in the 200 block of South Meridian Street, at about 3 a.m. after they became belligerent when the bar refused to allow them to pay to keep it open past closing time.According to a police report, Spencer and friend Matthew Millhouse, 25, threw punches at bouncers when they were told they had to leave.
Off-duty Indianapolis police officers, who were working security for the bar, said Spencer told them, "I don't give a f*** if you're the police," when told to leave the bar peaceably.The officers said Spencer and Millhouse persisted. They were arrested on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct.Spencer is a linebacker/defensive end for Dallas. The Fort Wayne native was the 26th pick in the 2007 NFL draft after several strong seasons with the Boilermakers.
