Bobcats Top Pacers To Snap Seven-Game Slide

POSTED: 1:57 am EST November 23, 2009

(Sports Network) - Nazr Mohammed posted 18 points and Boris Diaw added 17 to help the Bobcats ease past the Pacers, 104-88, to snap their seven-game losing streak.

Derrick Brown chipped in 13 points off the bench, while Flip Murray and Stephen Jackson scored 10 apiece for Charlotte, which shot 50.0 percent from the floor to get back in the win column.

Gerald Wallace ended with 11 points and 11 rebounds in the victory, the club's first since November 6.

"It feels great," said Mohammed. "When you lose as many as we lost in a row you start to feel like a loser. It was definitely great to get a win."

Dahntay Jones contributed a game-high 19 points, and Danny Granger had 18 in Indiana's third straight loss.

Charlotte scored eight of the final 10 points of the first quarter, and Diaw's jumper just before the buzzer gave the Bobcats a 28-20 lead.

A 10-2 run to open the second opened the margin even further, and the hosts held a 52-41 cushion at intermission.

Diaw opened and closed a 10-0 run with field goals early in the third quarter, the latter making it a 64-44 game with eight minutes left in the frame.

The Bobcats cruised to an 81-60 lead with 12 minutes left and comfortably led by double digits the rest of the way.
