Leclaire Out Four Weeks For Ottawa

POSTED: 2:40 pm EST November 24, 2009

(Sports Network) - Senators goaltender Pascal Leclaire will miss at least the next four weeks after taking a puck to the face during Monday's overtime win against Washington.

The hard-luck Leclaire was already sidelined due to an upper-body injury and was on the bench Monday when a stray puck caused fractures to his right cheekbone.

Brian Elliot, who was in net Monday, figures to see the bulk of work going forward. The team recalled netminder Mike Brodeur from Binghamton of the American Hockey League on an emergency basis Tuesday.

In 16 games this season, Leclaire has an 8-5-1 record with a 2.71 goals- against average.
