Couple Hits Homerun With Unique Wedding
Family, Friends Gather For Baseball Diamond Wedding

INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis couple pledged to be teammates for life on Saturday when they tied the knot on home plate.Stacy and Jeff Alexander met while playing on separate softball teams at the Indianapolis Sports Park last summer.On Saturday, the bride donned cleats and family and friends filled the bleachers as the couple said "I do" at the park.
"The wedding went very well. It's a little warm out here, but that's OK because it wasn't raining," said Bonita Alexander, the groom's mother. "It was a home run!"After the ceremony, the bridesmaids and groomsmen raised their bats for the new couple to walk under and go greet their guests.
