DETROIT -- Police searched the stands at Friday night's Pistons game as they continue their efforts to find a man who threw a chair into a crowd of people during the brawl at The Palace last week.

Authorities passed out flyers with a photograph of the suspected chair thrower in hopes that fans could help identify him.

Auburn Hills police have matched the reward offered by The Palace officials in their search.

A $1,000 reward was announced by officials from The Palace Tuesday. An additional $1,000 is also being offered by Auburn Hills police, Local 4 reported Wednesday.

WDIV-TV released video Tuesday of the man believed to have tossed the chair. The video showed him allegedly trying to loosen a metal folding chair, and then running up the aisle of The Palace.

A separate video police reviewed from a fan who sneaked a camera into the game showed the chair flying through the crowd toward an Indiana Pacer player. The chair hit a fan in the stands and a police officer, Local 4 reported. Minor injuries were reported.

"He just picks up the chair, and really nonchalantly as possible, throws the chair over his shoulder, behind him," said Auburn Hills police Lt. James Manning after viewing the first video. "Not aiming the chair. He was just recklessly throwing it."

Police had enhanced an image taken from the first video in an effort to identify the culprit. The image reportedly matches the man found in the WDIV video.
