INDIANAPOLIS - Junior Roosevelt Jones, a forward for Butler University's men's basketball team, will miss the upcoming season due to a wrist injury, the school announced Friday.
"Roosevelt suffered an injury that resulted in ligament damage to his left wrist, and he'll undergo season-ending surgery," Butler head athletic trainer Ryan Galloy said in a news release. "His prognosis is good and he's expected to make a full recovery for next season."
Jones averaged 10.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and a team-high 3.5 assists last season. He was the only Butler player to start all 36 games during the 2012-13 season.
