BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – IU officials announced Tuesday the team will face off against Charleston Southern University on Oct. 7, which will replace the previously scheduled home game against Florida International University.

The IU v FIU game was canceled Monday evening due to the impact of Hurricane Irma in southern Florida.

The hurricane destroyed much of south Florida over the weekend and IU officials said with several of FIU players and coaches being from the area, the decision was made to cancel the game. IU and FIU plan to schedule a game between the schools at Memorial Stadium in the future.

IU’s athletic department said kickoff time for the game against Charleston Southern University will be announced at a later date, but will take place at Memorial Stadium.

All IU full season ticket holders and mini season ticket holders (who selected the FIU game) will receive the same tickets and parking for the Oct. 7 game.

The IU Athletics Ticket Office will send new tickets and parking (if applicable) to be used for the game on Oct. 7.

Those who purchased tickets and/or parking for the Sept. 16 FIU game as a single game, will have the option to exchange their tickets for the Charleston Southern University game or request a refund.

All requests must be in writing and can be sent to iuticket@indiana.edu. The deadline to request an exchange or refund is Sept. 18.
