INDIANAPOLIS - One day after breaking Cam Newton's single-game record for yards passing, Colts quarterback Andrew Luck gave himself a midterm grade of C -- even though this has been no average season.
Luck has already won five games, two more than Peyton Manning did in his first NFL season.
He's on pace to shatter the NFL single season rookie records for attempts, completions and yards and perhaps most amazingly he has put the Colts (5-3) firmly in the playoff discussion.
And he's done all this on a team most of the "experts" considered the league's worst heading into the season.
Those who have been around Luck over the past several months aren't surprised. They see this as the start of something even bigger for Indy's new quarterback.
