EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - The Indianapolis Colts notched a preseason win over the New York Giants on Sunday, but what happened before the game is a much bigger "hit."
Indianapolis Colts backup quarterback Chandler Harnish was getting in a few throws before the game at the same time Fox sideline reporter Pam Oliver was preparing to talk beside the field.
What followed has been a much-watched video on YouTube all day Monday, with various versions of the same clip getting thousands of views within a few hours.
An errant throw from Harnish hit an unsuspecting Oliver right in the side of the face. Apparently, no one warned Oliver of the incoming pigskin, though a man was facing the direction of the field and Oliver turned slightly just as the ball arrived.
Oliver appeared none the worse for wear after the incident, though. She smiled as the direct hit was shown on TV.
Harnish, who is hoping to score a spot on the roster, apologized via Twitter.
"Would like to take this time to apologize to Pam Oliver, for the bad pass to the face.. Be expecting flowers in the mail soon! #ToughLady," Harnish tweeted.
