INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Colts’ Pat McAfee is at it again. This time he isn’t raising money for those in Kokomo, but for those homeless veterans in Indianapolis.

On Nov. 1 McAfee launched a gofundme page called, Help Me Help Indy's Homeless Vets.

The page states, “The goal of this crowdfunding campaign is to improve the quality of the living conditions at the Indianapolis Domiciliary Care facility.  This is a great way to show our local homeless vets that we're grateful for their service to our great country.”

As of Thursday morning, the campaign raised over $13,000.

McAfee said he plans to match the amount raised up to $50,000.

McAfee’s campaign was announced the same day the punter was named the local nominee for the NFL’s Salute to Service Award. The Salute to Service Award recognizes players for their efforts to honor US service members and veterans.

Through McAfee’s foundation, he has provided more than $250,000 in scholarships to the children of those in the US military. He has also provided 20 Colts tickets and meal vouchers to several military families during each game.
