INDIANAPOLIS -- Reggie Wayne returned to "the 317" this week to, among other things, attend his first Colts game without a jersey on.

Wayne's contract wasn't renewed this season after 13 years as one of the most prolific players in Colts history. But the six-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champ said his return to Lucas Oil Stadium wasn't a bitter on.

"I was a little wary. But once I walked in there and saw some familiar faces, saw the appreciation by the Colts Nation, it made it a lot easier," Wayne said. "It made me feel like I've never left."

Wayne said he's been enjoying his time off the field this season, including going to his first parent-teacher conference.

"I'm definitely comfortable in my own skin," he said. "I'm enjoying it. I've been doing stuff I haven't done in 14 years."
