Former Colts wide receiver Austin Collie, often plagued with concussions, is retiring from the Canadian Football League to work with a concussion rehabilitation program, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.

Collie spent four years with the Colts as a slot receiver, catching more than 50 passes in his first three seasons. After multiple concussions and a knee injury, the Colts chose not to re-sign him after the 2012 season.

He had one concussion against the Eagles on Nov. 7, 2010, then another in the same season against the Jaguars.

After leaving the Colts, the New England Patriots picked him up for the 2013 season before cutting him in November.

Collie spent one season in the CFL.
