INDIANAPOLIS - Good news after Dario Franchitti’s second surgery Monday: The Indianapolis procedure on his right ankle was successful.
Ganassi Racing said earlier today, driver Franchitti underwent a successful 3-hour surgery to repair the talus bone in his right ankle. After the surgery, he was resting comfortably, Ganassi said.
“His surgery went perfectly and just as planned,” IZOD IndyCar Series orthopedic consultant Dr. Terry Trammel said. “His post-operation X-rays looked great. Everything is positive at this point as Dario continues his recovery.”
