ESPN publishes, removes report that Butler's Brad Stevens in contract negotiations with UCLA

INDIANAPOLIS - Butler University men's basketball coach Brad Stevens is negotiating a contract with UCLA, ESPN reported via Twitter Thursday.
The story on ESPN's website, which originally read, "Sources told ESPNLosAngeles.com that the two sides were in contract negotiations," was later edited to omit that sentence.
Stevens, who has been with the Bulldogs since April 2007, is reportedly UCLA's top pick to replace Ben Howland, who was fired after 10 seasons with the Bruins.
In his time at Butler, Stevens has led the team to two NCAA championship games and was named Horizon League Coach of the Year twice.
Only three coaches in NCAA Division I history had more first-year wins than Stevens.
